Wensa — building a SaaS from zero

Resume builder · Solo founder · 4 months live · wensaresume.com

Wensa is a simple web-based resume builder with regular visitors and early revenue.

To launch, I built a basic MVP by hiring a freelance developer. A fast and cheap way to test and validate my hypothesis. Now I'm focused on growing the project.

What I'm solving now

The funnel has clear drop-off points, I see where users leave and work on reducing friction. Recently redesigned the login and paywall pages to improve conversion. Also expanding traffic channels beyond SEO. No new features until the fundamentals are working.

How I work on it

Here I'm more of a product manager than a designer, rarely open Figma. I think in hypotheses: what brings more traffic, what converts better, where users drop off. Look at the funnel, make a change, watch the numbers.

02 · Recent Role

Fluently — growth at a YC startup

AI English tutor · YC W24 · 25k+ users · 2026

Fluently is a YC-backed AI English tutor for non-native speakers. I owned product design and supported growth: onboarding, paywall, progress tracking, vocabulary, courses.

The team worked at a pace I hadn't seen before, with an AI data agent for instant analytics and vibe coding for rapid prototyping. We could go from idea to test results in days, not weeks. Being in that environment sharpened how I think about iteration speed.

Experiment example

We built a tailored beginner onboarding expecting higher conversion. The control won. We found out in days, before committing to a full redesign of the entire flow. That's the value of speed, you fail cheap and move on.

03 · Scale

TangoMe — live-streaming platform

Live-streaming · 400M+ downloads · ~$1.2M/day revenue · 2021–2023

I worked in a large team with PMs, analysts, and multiple engineering squads. We touched nearly every part of the app, but I spent the most time on chats, calls, stream UI, and the stream feed. Chats eventually became a direction I led independently.

Through analytics and constant user feedback, we found that chat activity correlated directly with retention and revenue — heavier chatters sent more gifts and stayed longer. But users were leaving to WhatsApp and Telegram because in-app messaging was bare-bones.

We iterated: privacy controls, quick gift access, 1-to-1 private streams, group conversations. Some features went through A/B testing before rollout, others shipped directly as table-stakes improvements. In the end, we built a full-featured messenger inside the app — and saw a significant drop in user churn and a meaningful lift in revenue.
